The Muscat grape variety is so sensitive to the climatic fluctuations, that it’s necessary to reduce the risk by planting it in several places in order to be sure to obtain a harvest of Muscat each year. That’s the reason why it’s above all a varietal wine..

Surface are : 50 ares (1,3 acre)

Location : on the lower slope of the hillsides with southern exposure

Soil : granite rich in micas

Age of the vines : from 15 to 40 years

Grapes varieties : Muscat Ottonel : 40 % / Muscat d’Alsace : 60 %

Production : 2 300 bouteilles ( 190 cases)

Main analytic characteristics :
- alcohol = 11°8
- residual sugar = 13 g/l
- pH = 3.39

Tasting notes :
- Light yellow with silvery reflections
- A well-developed and charming nose with delicate floral nuances (hawthorn) and at the same time very specific fruity notes.
- A supple entry followed by a blossoming of delicate aromas , supported by a fine acidity lingering on a touch of freshness.

Associations :
- Its taste of fresh grapes and its lightness make it a particularly pleasant aperitif and also a wine to savor at any time of the day, especially during the summer.
- Excellent companion of asparagus served with a fine sauce like hollandaise or muslin sauce.
- Good pairing with very nature seafood (fried scallops, sushi, …)
